U12 Ladies Football..

Sunday evening saw our u12 girls play Inch Rovers in the East Cork ladies football league u12 D final in Glanmire. The girls went out and gave it their all for both the first and second half.It was a exciting match from start to finish.Unfortunately Inch Rovers won by just 2 points.
Bride rovers played some great football and we are so proud of each and every one of them.
Final score Inch Rovers 2-11 to Bride Rovers 3-6.

Fermoy Blitz

On Saturday 27th August the Under 8 & U10 girls football teams participated in the Munster Football Blitz in Fermoy.  A team of 14 very enthusiastic girls togged out and played 4 games against Erins's Own, Grenagh, St Nicks and Carrigtwohill.  The entire team demonstrated a fine display of skills and energy on the pitch.  Many thanks to all the parents , players and coaches who turned up on the day to play and to the Ladies Football Team Fermoy who organised such a great event

Senior Football Championship
Bride Rovers Senior Ladies swing into action again on Tuesday night, 6th September, when we will take on Inch Rovers in the quarter-final of the Senior A Championship. The game is timed for 8pm in Killeagh. We have had magnificent support all year and hopefully we will see you all in Killeagh on Tuesday.


Camogie All Ireland Finals 11th Sept.

Excitement is building ahead of the Camogie All-Ireland Finals where Cork will take on Kilkenny in both the Senior & Camogie Finals.
Our own Jen Barry is involved with both teams & we wish her all the best.

The club is organising a bus to Croke Park on the 11th Sept., if you are interested please give your name to Liam Barry 087-6893829
Also there are tickets available at a discount rate of €25 if booked by Friday 2nd Sept.


Coaching Course
Bride Rovers Ladies Football club held a very successful coaching course last friday night in the pitch, the course was very well attended and special thanks to Nora Aherne, course instructor, for her excellent presentation and tips.

U12 Girls "Coffee Morning & Cake Sale"

Our U12 camogie girls following on from succesful blitzs in Thurles & Croke Park will be returning to Croke Park on All-Ireland Day onSeptember 11th. The camogie association have extended an invitation to the team to attend the All-Ireland Finals and with Cork in both the Intermediate & Senior Final it should be a great day out. To offset the cost of the trip the Girls will be holding a "Coffee Morning & Cake Sale" on Sunday 4th September in Rathcormac Hall (After 11am Mass). Anyone who can provide baking if you can drop to the hall at 11am. Your support for this is appreciated.







Clothes Collection
Many thanks to everyone for their continued support of our monthly clothes collection.
The clothes go to the National Council for the blind who sort the clothes in their depot in Kildare before distributing the stock amongst their many stores around the country. So your old clothes, handbags, shoes are benefiting both the Bride Rovers Club but also the National Council for the Blind.
Next clothes collection Friday the 2nd of September, 2016 7.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. at Rathcormac Community Hall (garage to rear).
