U14 Camogie..

Our u14 girls continued their great run of form last Sunday when they made the long journey to Killmeen-Kilbree  for the camogie county semi-final. The Rovers girls scored the first two points before Kilbree put on the pressure scoring 1 01. Bride Rovers settled into the game and went onto score the next four points to go in at hal-ftime leading on a scoreline of 0 06 to 1 01.

The second half was a different story with the girls showing the progression they have made this year by going onto to score a further 3 03 and keeping their opponents scoreless. The final score Briderovers 3 09  Kilbree 1 01. The girls now await the winners of Charleville and Passage in the other semi final to see who their opponents will be in the county final.

The u14 footballers are in action against St Vals in the county B football final on Sunday 2nd of October in Mourneabbey, throw in  at 11.00, and are looking for loads of support.Senior Football

Hard luck to our senior panel and management who bowed out of the Senior A county championship losing to Eire Og in the semi final on Sunday last. This was always going to be a tough task and so it proved. Eire Og kicked off with two early goals and Rovers were really chasing the game for the duration. We did have some great passages of play and didn't convert some scoring chances but in fairness to Rovers they never gave up trying. Hopefully, we will see them back stronger and even better for the next season. Thanks to the players and management who put in so much hard work and commitment all year and gave us some super matches against Aghada, St. Vals and Inch Rovers in the run up to the semis.

Junior Camogie

Huge congrats to our junior camogie players who beat Midleton in the C county final on Saturday. Having met our opponents twice in the league, we knew this was going to be a battle and certainly the first half was a close encounter. Rovers led at half time 1 03 to 0 02, our hard-fought scores coming from Grace Kearney, Jen Barry and Chloe O'Flynn. In the second half, Rovers pulled away with three goals from Katie Quirke and strong defence and team effort kept Midleton to three points - the final tally Rovers 4 03, Midleton 0 05. Congratulations to the panel and management, the training and effort put in by everyone paid off and it was great to round off the season with both county championship and league titles
