Bride Rovers will open their first Premier Senior Hurling Championship campaign (since the introduction of the 12 team-format) against Newcestown this Saturday Aug 1st at 7.00pm in Ballincollig.
Bride Rovers last played Newcestown this time last year in the SHL Div 3 final, where we were victorious, albeit after extra-time. Our last competitive game was a great performance against Erins Own last month in the SHL Div 2 and all Rovers followers hope that this form and efficiency can be replicated in championship. However, the group of hurlers from the west will be full of confidence, having overcome Nemo Rangers in their senior football opener just last weekend.
It promises to be an epic encounter, with Midleton and St. Finbarr's as the other two teams in the group.
