While Brian and Eoin Roche secured a semi final spot last weekend, and Micheál Walsh has an All Ireland minor final to prepare for, there were a group of local athletes representing Rathcormac and Bartlemy (and Scartbarry) with distinction across the last week.
Pat (Paddy) O'Connor Jr, Alan O'Keeffe and Robbie Howard all competed at the Games.
Paddy, son of Club President Pat and Norah O'Connor, won a silver medal in the singles ten-pin bowling competition in his division.
He also came in 4th place with Eoghan Kenneally Twomey in the doubles ten-pin bowling competition in his division.
Alan O'Keeffe and Robbie Howard also won medals at these Olymics. This was a proud moment for both the athletes and their families - Seanie and Carmel O'Keeffe and Cormac and Kathleen Howard.
Robbie's sister and talented athlete and sports administrator Roisin Howard was the Head of Delegation. She has been beside Robbie and all the athletes at the events based in the Irish Sports Campus in Blanchardstown, and in venues neighbouring Kildare and Meath.
