The Cork-Tipperary rivalry reaches back in history.

There is a credible source (a Mr. J. Arnold) who claims that the two counties first played each other in 1741 in a field in the townland of Kildinan near Rathcormac.

284 years on and ahead of this Sunday's All-Ireland final, club members from both sides of the count divide met in that field to commerate this first game. No Tipperary people (Tipperarians, Tippites?) were harmed in the making of the photo.
