U12 Football:

Bride Rovers’ under 12s kicked off their football season at Pynes’ Pitch on Sunday morning against Fermoy B. The home side put in very strong performances in each and every position across the field, and ran out deserved winners by an eight-goal margin. Early goals from Caoimhe Barry  Amy Kennedy and Ciara O’Flynn put Fermoy B on the back foot and it was always going to be an uphill battle for them to close the lead. To their credit, Fermoy fought valiantly and never gave up but they were no match for the Rovers whose work rate, accurate shooting and good passing movements never waned from start to finish.

Junior Football:

Carrigtwohill 1-3 Bride Rovers 2-9
We played our first league in Carrigtwohill on Friday night. We had a great turnout, with twenty-one players lining out for us. We started very well and raced into an early lead, through a goal from Katie Kelleher and points from Colette Hogan and Imelda Dorgan. However, we didn't take enough advantage of our superior possession and good play. This allowed Carrigtwohill back into the game, and we went into the break tied at 1-3 apiece.

On the resumption, we continued our dominance of play and possession, we utilised this to greater effect, with superb points from Rachel O'Callaghan and Katie Kelleher. This was topped off with a great goal from Laura Pratt. Our defence worked resolutely and we kept Carrig scoreless in the second half, running out convincing winners on a scoreline of 2-9 to 1-3.Thanks to all the players who made the trip to Carrigtwohill on Friday night.

by a score of 5-14 to 2-3. However, the girls can be very proud of
their performance and for keeping going to the final whistle in very
trying conditions.

This was our first match of the season and we could only feild a team

11 girls against our 10 and in the circumstances, Bride Rovers gave a
great account of themselves but lost by a  margin of just four points.

Bride Rovers Seniors ladies hosted St. Vals on Sunday last in the 2nd Round of the Division1 A Football League. St. Vals ran out easy winners on a scoreline of 2-05 to 6-12. This was a disappointing result and an improved performance will be needed in our next few league matches against Eire Óg & Inch Rovers.
