SENIORS LOSE FIRST LEAGUE TIE.                                                                                 Cork Delegates at Congress in Cavan

In what could only be described as artic blizzard like conditions our Senior Hurling team travelled to Pairc Cinneide in Killeaghon Sunday last to take on the home side in our opening game of the 2015 RED FM Co. SHl.

Conditions for hurling were just dreadful and in a proverbial 'game of two halves' the home team used their advantage well in thee opening period to build up an impressive  half time lead of Bride Rovers 1-0 Killeagh 3-3. Our hurling improved somewhat in the second half but  Killeagh still came out on top to win on scoreline  of Bride Rovers 1-3 Killeagh 3-4

Ned Duggan RIP.

We extend our sincere sympathy to the family of the late Ned Duggan of Ballyhooley who died last week. Ned was one of North Cork's greatest 'all rounders'. For years his fame as a singer and musician was known all over Munster. He was also a top class sheep shearer and in recent years a photographer. He attended many of our Club functions over the years and was always very professional in his work. May he rest in peace.

.Volunteers.

We are always seeking new players from four years and upwards and of course older players who may have played with other clubs and are now living in the parish are more than welcome to join the Bride Rovers Club. People who never played the games are encouraged to join too as we have a role for everyone. Maybe your talent is in gardening or landscaping, in IT or fundraising, in catering, cleaning, flag-making or any other of the many tasks that have to be undertaken in a busy GAA Club. Some people are afraid if they 'join up' they will be overburdened but don’t worry on that score. If you want to give an hour a week or an hour a month to the Bride Rovers Club that contribution will be very much appreciated and respected. They say 'many hands make light work' and in the case of a GAA Club it is really the truth. In the next few weeks the playing season on all fronts will be in full swing -why not get involved with your local GAA Club? If you want further information on what you could do ring 087 9538077.
