Harty Defeat

Van Morrisson had a hit song a few years back 'There'll Be Days Like This' -it can refer to mighty, brilliant days and also days when things just don't go right. Well on Saturday last the hurlers of St Colmans had a day to forget in the Harty Cup Final. Everyone knew Templemore were good but on last Saturday they were awesome. Physically very strong they had brilliant hurlers all over the pitch. The Colmans lads tried to the end but had simply no answer to the Tipp side. St Colmans have given us great enjoyment in Dean Ryan and Harty this season and the season is not finished yet as St. Colmans will still take part in the All Ireland series.

Cork County GAA Table Quiz.

We took part in the Cork County Final of the GAA National Table Quiz in the Eire Og Pavilion in Ovenson Friday night last. Our team was Tom Mulcahy, Daniel Lane, Pa O Driscoll and John Arnold. From early on it was obvious that it was going to be a ding dong struggle between ourselves and old rivals Millstreet for ultimate honours and a place in the All Ireland Final in Belfast in May. In the end Millstreet completed a remarkable 20-in-a-row of County Titles with 73 out of 80 marks while we finished in second place on 67 marks.

Club IT and Communications Committee.
