Congrats to Grace and Laura & Cork Minor Footballers on beating Galway in the All Ireland Minor A Semi Final
CORK LADIES MINOR FOOTBALL
Cork saw off Galway by 3-14 to 3-12 in Nenagh on Saturday the 16th of July, 2016. It was a slow start for Cork as Galway proved to be a match for them and led by four points at half time. An early Cleary goal was the game’s first significant contribution from Cork and Culloty also netted in the first half. Grace Culloty’s (Pictured) two goals proved crucial and captain Laura Cleary led by example with a haul of 1-2 as Cork prevailed in a classic. Saoirse Noonan was another player to excel for Cork as the Nemo Rangers star collected seven points for the winners. Mairead O'Sullivan's remarkable save in the final minutes of the game saved Cork and this group of players remain on course to repeat their All-Ireland successes at U14 and U16 level in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
Cork’s opponents are Dublin in the All Ireland Minor A Final on Bank Holiday Monday the 1st of August, 2016 Time and Venue TBD.

Cork Ladies Football Summer Camp
Cork Ladies Football Summer Development Camp will take place from 15th to 18th August in Fermoy.
Coaching will be by Cork Senior & Minor Players.
The Camp will run for 4 days from 10am to 2pm and is For registered players from U8 to U16.
Cost €30 for 1, €50 for 2 & €70 for 3.
Each player will get a Supervalu Cork Jersey at end of camp.

Camogie
Munster Intermediate Camogie Final
Cork took on Tipperary in the Munster Intermediate Camogie final on Wednesday last in Bruff. Cork were captained by our own Jennifer Barry,(Pictured) this was a great honour for Jennifer and the club. However on the night Tipperary proved to be too strong winning on a scoreline of Cork 1-07 Tipperary 0-19.
Tipperary got off to a great start with player of the match, Cashel's Orla O'Dwyer firing the first of her 10 points over the bar after 3 minutes. The outstanding corner forward had Cork in all sorts of bother who found it difficult to cope with the Tipperary running game, filled with pace and superb team play. A late change to the Cork line up saw Linda Collins open proceedings for Cork with a point from play, with Keeva McCarthy slotting over 2 from placed ball. Shannon Rovers Aoife Moloughney was equally unerring for the Premier in placed ball, notching up 3 along with point from play. At half time and with Tipperary having enjoyed wind advantage it stood Tipperary 0-10 Cork 0-3.
The second half was always going to produce a fightback from Paudi Murray's charges, and it came from Sarah Fahy who cut the deficit to 6, and with the team starting to operate a more open game plan, they ran at the Tipp rearguard, but taking the ball into contact resulted in turnovers for the defence who supplied the duo of O'Dwyer and Moloughney to inflict further damage to Cork. While Cork continued to battle and Lisa Lynch grabbing a goalmouth scrambled green flag , it was the saffron and blue who played a brand of Camogie that resulted in them being uncatchable. For Cork, while they never gave up, they left themselves with too much to do in the 2nd half, and a possible goal chance missed in the first half would have reduced the deficit even further.
U8 Camogie

Bride Rovers Ladies Football & Camogie Club Summer Camp commences on Monday & promises to be an exciting and active week for the nearly 60 girls that have registered.
Irene Hogan and players from the club will be doing the coaching with the girls. Each player will receive a Jersey, Training Top & Sports Bag. Have fun girls.

Camogie Championship v Newtownshandrum
Our Junior A camogie team are due to play Newtownshandrum on Wednesday night 27th July in round 2 of the Championship. After been defeated in round 1 by Na Piarsaigh, the girls wioll be looking to bounce back with a win. In last years competition the Rovers & Newtown played our a very exciting game at Church Road with Netwown grabbing a late equaliser to share the spoils. The venue for this game is yet to be confirmed.
Junior Football East Cork
Our junior footballers suffered a heavy defeat to Fermoy in the semi-final of the East Cork Championship on Thursday last at St Colmans College Fermoy. The Junior team have plenty to look forward to for the coming weeks with a first round of County Championship v Erins Own and also a league semi-final v Muintir Bhaire.
