Junior ‘A’ Semi Final.

At the time of writing the Junior ‘A’ Football semi final against Carrignavar is on in Ballynoe on Tuesday October 21st. This game will be played under lights at Pairc Naomh Caitríona. We’ve beaten Youghal, Castlemartyr and Carrigtwohill to qualify for the semi final but obviously over the last 3 months we’ve done precious little football. Carrignavar are trying to complete an East Cork Junior double. They’ve already won the Junior ‘A’ hurling championship. Carrignavar will be very hard to beat. Cloyne await the winners of this semi final.

U-21 and Minor Hurling This Weekend.

Our Under 21 and Minor hurling teams will be in action at the weekend. On Saturday at Carrigtwohill @ 3pm. we play Russell Rovers in the U-21 ‘B’ Hurling Championship semi final. On Sunday at a venue to be finalized, we are billed to play Western Gaels from the Muskerry division in the 12-a-side Minor hurling championship Co. semi final. This game will probably be played at 4 o’clock.

James Bermingham has been appointed to referee the Cork Co. Junior Hurling Championship final between Dripsey and Diarmaid O’Mathúnas on next Sunday October 19th at Pairc Uí Chaoimh. This is James’s biggest game to date in his refereeing career and we wish James and his team of officials all the very best.
